Principal's Message

Murat KALAYCI
Star College Pretoria Principal
Dear Star College website visitors, students, staff, and parents,

Thank you for visiting our website and welcome to the 2026 school year. I wish you all a happy, healthy, and prosperous year, and we look forward to welcoming our learners into the classroom five days a week for the full duration of the academic year.

I trust that our website serves as a valuable source of information about our school and reflects our strong commitment to quality education, as well as the vision we hold for every learner entrusted to our care.

At Star College Pretoria, our commitment is to provide a safe and intellectually challenging environment while fostering a strong sense of belonging and acceptance. We strive to empower our students to become innovative thinkers, creative problem solvers, inspired learners, and responsible citizens who are well prepared to thrive in the twenty-first century.

We frequently refer to our “Star College Family”, as we believe our school community should be an extension of your own family.

High standards and expectations for every student—academically, in extra-curricular participation, and in personal conduct—form the foundation of our school. We take great pride in maintaining these standards and encourage each learner to contribute positively to our culture of excellence. It is the collective contribution of our students that has made Star College an exceptional learning community in Pretoria for over a decade. Full participation in academic and co-curricular programmes, together with responsible conduct, enables all members of our community to experience a successful and fulfilling school year.

Our school community is dedicated to providing a well-rounded educational experience. Alongside a strong core curriculum, we place great importance on leadership development, character education, and exposure to modern technologies to ensure our students are prepared to compete and collaborate on a global stage.

We aim to create a secure, nurturing, yet challenging environment built on positive relationships—one that develops the whole child emotionally, socially, and academically. We value each learner as a unique individual, with distinct talents, interests, and needs, and recognise the important role each plays in serving the broader community.

We want every student to enjoy their schooling journey, guided by the values of respect, cooperation, perseverance, and a commitment to excellence. Our learners are encouraged to take responsibility for their actions and choices, while also supporting their peers to do the same. Through this, they develop strong self-esteem, high personal expectations, and a healthy respect and tolerance for others.

Giving back to our surrounding community is an important part of who we are, and we invite you to be actively involved in this culture of service. Star College is a place of learning, belonging, and growth, and we thank you for being an integral part of our school family.

We welcome the perspectives and input of our parents and value open communication as we continue to grow together. Please feel free to contact us via email or telephone.

I wish you all a wonderful and successful school year.

Yours in education,
